Lon Chaney stars in this melodrama, in which he is maimed for life after an auto accident. He falls in love with a secret agent, plots revenge against the doctor who botched his surgery, and pays the ultimate price for his violent, criminal life. The silent movie has a background throughout of original music composed and performed by Keith Taylor.
