PIOMBO - Italian Crime Soundtracks from the Years of Lead (1973-1981) explores the music of Italy's gritty crime films inspired by the social and political unrest of the 1970s and early 1980s. Spanning crime funk, disco grooves, progressive rock, and dramatic orchestral themes, the collection features legendary composers including Stelvio Cipriani, Riz Ortolani, Luis Bacalov, Guido & Maurizio de Angelis, Bruno Nicolai, and Manuel de Sica. Across 26 tracks, the set includes 9 previously unreleased recordings, 7 of which make their vinyl debut.
