Taraji P. Henson carries this reinterpretation of the hitman narrative with a controlled intensity, portraying a woman whose profession has long demanded emotional detachment. When she takes responsibility for a boy caught in the same criminal world she inhabits, the film shifts from procedure to something more personal. Director Babak Najafi frames the story through action, but the focus remains on transformation. The result is less about violence than the decision to step away from it.
