His deep voice and a special feeling for words and music made Félix Leclerc one of the greatest poets to sing French-language songs. The French Canadian Félix Leclerc, one of the first great French-language songwriters, took Quebec into the firmament of song, opening the way for countless artists he inspired, from Brassens to Charlebois and Brel.
