Reels - Matthew Shipp / Whit Dickey - Longtime friends and musical collaborators, pianist Matthew Shipp and drummer Whit Dickey release Reels, a collection of improvised duos recorded in March 2019 in New York. Shipp and Dickey's musical relationship goes back to the early 1990s, when they were both members of the late saxophonist DavidV S. Ware's quartet. This is their first stand-alone duo album.
