Product Notes
The Congosound stems from one of the most vibrant nightlife cities of the world: Madrid. It's an almost impossible task to describe what's going on here night by night, as long as you're not Pedro Almodovar. We love Madrid and we're more than happy to welcome a citizen of this great town on Kompakt Pop. Carles Congost is a well known artist that is mainly famous for his video works. He loves to stretch out to diverse production methods as well but aesthetically he's committed to what is referred to as neo-pop. With his friend, the musician Fibla he also ventures in the world of dance music, sporting a casual yet persuasive style of electronic post-disco that feels comfortable between Metro Area and the Balearic revival. Our very own Super pitcher managed to get his hands on the Congosound's 'Say I'm Your Number One' and immediately fell in love with the extremely catchy vocoder hook. He instantly started working on a remix which ended up being one of his strongest club tracks to date. It's an 11 minute wildpitch-gone-crazy affair that already proved to be absolutely devastating on the floor. It's a hit. It's no baloney.
