Throughout most of the '80s Perth band The Scientists spewed forth a sound that was swampy, primal and modern-urban all at once. Their name has been dropped by Nirvana, The White Stripes, The Von Bondies and many more as a key influence of how they could reimagine rock n' roll. And along with The Birthday Party, invented the inner city look of that era. The original line up of Kim Salmon, Tony Thewlis.
