This series approaches the superhero genre through momentum, both literal and narrative. Grant Gustin's Barry Allen is defined as much by his personality as by his abilities, allowing the show to balance action with character. The episodic structure introduces a range of adversaries, each reflecting different aspects of the same altered reality. Over time, the series becomes less about speed and more about it's consequences.
