Beethoven's Piano Concerto No.3 is full of symphonic grandeur - the minor key bringing out the turbulent side of the composer's personality with outer movements brim-full of tempestuous drama, offset by the dreamy reflectiveness of the central Largo. Beethoven's fifth and final piano concerto is known as the 'Emperor' among concertos. With it's all-conquering spirit and unquenchable reserves of spiritual as well as physical energy, along with it's imposing virtuoso flourishes, this is one of his seminal masterpieces. Elena Ulyanova is an award-winning concert pianist and distinguished graduate of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Her elegant performance style runs the gamut of power and strength to a delicate, floating finesse. Grammy nominated conductor Dmitry Yablonsky has performed in the famous halls of the Concertgebouw, Carnegie Hall, Moscow Conservatory Great Hall, St. Petersburg Philharmonic and La Scala among others. In 2026, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra proudly celebrates it's 80th anniversary.
