As a worship leader, I've come to love many old hymn texts as well as many of the old tunes. The only catch is that I'm a guitar player & many of the traditional hymn arrangements are for piano. Consequently, I've had lots of fun arranging hymns for the acoustic guitar & picking up arrangements that others are doing. Many of the tracks on this album are an outgrowth of that. Also, I've been very blessed by modern songwriters who are writing new tunes to ancient texts & I've included a few of these recordings as well. My main goal for this album is that it would be a tool to inspire worship in the listener, and that, hopefully, the listener would join into the singing & worship God through the truth in the texts & the emotion in the music.
