The result of the highly popular "Chants sacrés" tour of French churches, this recording presents a unique repertoire, combining religious pieces with a selection of French and Italian songs of sacred inspiration. Surrounded by his accomplices, guitarist, songwriter and arranger Jean-Félix Lalanne and pianist Marek Ruszczynski, Roberto Alagna revisits Bach and Schubert's "Ave Maria", "Avec le temps" by Léo Ferré, or the Italian traditional songs "Bella Ciao" and "Fenesta che luciva" plus songs from the hit musical Al Capone, all arranged exclusively by Jean-Félix Lalanne. The trio here deliver a concentrate of emotion and commune with beauty.
