Product Notes
Original cast soundtrack from the hit show Shipwrecked with interpretations of Spanish, English & Irish music of the 16th century with a fusion of early music & Traditional. This is the debut recording from the innovative Irish-based early music ensemble, EX. Performed by renowned early music virtuosi and celebrated traditional Irish musicians, the evocative soundtrack brings to life the stranger-than-fiction odyssey of Francisco de Cuellar, a captain from the Spanish Armada who was shipwrecked in Ireland in 1588 and spent seven months on the run from Queen Elizabeth's forces there. A hunted fugitive, an honored guest and favorite of Irish chieftains, a stranger in a strange land and a solemn witness to one of histories most cataclysmic and transformative events, de Cuellar's amazing adventures provide the inspiration for a unique and remarkable musical journey.
