Product Notes
In the early 1970s, Pinchas Zukerman and Daniel Barenboim were regarded as two of the most exciting young musicians of their generation. Their joint recording of Sibelius's Violin Concerto, Op. 47, and Beethoven's Romances for Violin and Orchestra Nos. 1 and 2 with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, captures the extraordinary artistic energy of that time in exemplary fashion. The two works were newly remastered and cut for this release for the first time from the original ? inch, 4-track tapes. The Original Source Series from Deutsche Grammophon features celebrated recordings reissued on vinyl. Remastered by the renowned Berlin-based Emil Berliner Studios using 100% pure analogue techniques to create versions of the highest possible audio quality. Produced on 180g virgin vinyl by Optimal and housed in deluxe gatefold editions, featuring additional photos and/or recording documentation.
