Carolyn Sampson, now the best British early music soprano by quite some distance' [Gramophone] Carolyn Sampson made her opera debut with English National Opera in Monteverdi's The Coronation of Poppea and returned to sing Tanterabogus in The Fairy Queen with the company in London and Barcelona. She is a renowned concert soloist, and has concertized extensively in the US and Europe. She now turns her formidable talent towards the interpretation of the works of Thomas-Louis Bourgeois. Featured on this disc is Les Sirenes, a work which depicts the famous episode in Ulysses' prolonged voyage in The Odyssey
