The Hesitations have a few northern nuggets to their credit. Originally released on Kapp in 1966, "Soul Superman" is right up there with the best. Bootleg copies often sell in excess of $150 for this driving floor filler. Backed with the super bluesy vocal of the legendary Bobby Bland, "Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City" is an aching tale of loss and regret. A slow groove with lyrics of genuine heartache, a resilient slow motion dance beat and some exquisite brass breaks. Both sides have been remastered for dancefloor-shaking longevity.
