Featuring a soundtrack of original music and stunning musical performances, STAR follows three talented singers chasing stardom while running from their pasts. Newcomer Jude Demorest plays Star, a tough-as-nails young woman who came up in the foster care system and decides to take control of her destiny. Together with her sister Simone (newcomer Brittany OGrady), and her Instagram bestie Alexandra (newcomer Ryan Destiny), Star journeys to Atlanta where they all hope to become music superstars. STAR also features Queen Latifah as Carlotta, a surrogate mother to the young women, and Benjamin Bratt as Jahil, a down-on-his-luck talent agent looking to revitalize his career.
