On Days of Olden Glory Steve McDonald presents a musical reflection back to a time when war and peace in Scotland walked hand in hand. The lyrics are kept in line with looking back over the past, but with an awareness of the present. Steve's deepest wish is seeing Scotland march into the future in charge of her destiny with the dignity deserved of this great Nation. The songs and his vocals radiate soulfulness as we are used to from his previous albums. His awareness of the present is being also reflected by using modern drum kits rather than traditional drums.
