Dmitri Shostakovich's Tenth Symphony stands as one of the defining orchestral masterpieces of the twentieth century. A deeply personal work that emerged in the wake of Stalin's death and marked the composer's triumphant return to the symphonic genre. Balancing profound introspection with explosive drama, the symphony traces a powerful emotional journey in which Shostakovich's unmistakable musical voice, symbolized by his famous DSCH motif, transforms personal struggle into a timeless statement of resilience and humanity.
