Divina Mancha

Without going beyond the boundaries of tonality or the expressive sub-genres of Romanticism, the works recorded on this disc in some ways suggest a journey through varied landscapes within a common aesthetic. Each one has it's own peculiarities, of course, inasmuch as composers Tarrega and A. J. Manjon were of the 19th c., while Torroba and de la Maza clearly belong to the 20th. Finally, between these pairs, is the figure of Miguel Llobet, representing something of a bridge between them. The Russian guitarist Anton Baranov won 1st Prize of the 2013 Tarrega Int'l Guitar Competition Benicassim.
