Product Notes
As letters, poems and many musical works of Georg Philipp Telemann prove the composer had a good dose of humor, which he knew to use musically. The second production of Bach Concentus led by Ewald Demeyere brings them four examples to be heard, of which the so-called Canary Cantata with the ironic title 'Mourning Music an art experienced Canaries Bird' perhaps more likely to be the best known. In contrast, a real novelty catalog, the cantata 'The women religious' is, in giving a young woman of her anticipation of the future married life expression. In addition, you can hear three orchestral suites from the pen Telemann, two of which have significantly humorous trains. With Dorothée Mields was a singer for this album are obtained, which can impart the subtle irony of the coated pathos in the Canary Cantata just as convincing as the term in places slippery anticipation in the cantata 'The women-religious'.
