On her follow-up album to 2024’s breakout 'Still Waters,’ Crawford’s new full-length LP, Thank God, Leanna Crawford delivers a truly honest and hope-filled collection of 11 songs,  journeying through doubt, waiting, healing, and gratitude. With lyrics and production that is more acoustic and folk-driven than her previous chart-topping project Still Waters, Crawford walks the path of songs prayed from the wilderness  (“Ask Him Again,” “Living Room Floor”), to bold faith (“Do It Afraid”), all the way to full-circle perspective in the title track’s (“Thank God”) declaration of gratitude for both open and closed doors. Songs like “Water Into Wine (with Seph Schlueter)” celebrate redemption that transforms the ordinary into the miraculous, while “Borrow Mine” reminds listeners they’re never alone and that there is true peace when walking in community. The pivotal “Revenge” is the lyrical standout of the album, flipping the negative connotation of revenge on its head, asking “what if forgiveness is the best kind of revenge.”
