The Chicken Ranch, run by feisty Madam Mona (Dolly Parton), has been a Lone Star State institution for decades. But can local sheriff Ed Earl (Burt Reynolds), Mona's old flame, help save the beloved bordello when a crusading TV host (Dom DeLuise) tries to shut it down? Bawdy, bouncy big-screen version of the hit Broadway musical co-stars Jim Nabors, Lois Nettleton, and Oscar-nominee Charles Durning as the governor; songs include "Hard Candy Christmas," "I Will Always Love You." 115 min.
