Formed in 1934 by leading vocalist Roy Blackwood, The Blackwood Brothers are a gospel quartet known for their close harmonies and traditional Southern Gospel sound that, over the years, have helped them become one of the most influential groups in gospel music. With multiple Grammy Awards and an induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, the group is characterised by their blend of four-part harmonies and trademark vocal rotations, with each member taking turns as lead vocalist.
