At 72, Ann Hunter (Dale Dickey) had enough problems looking after declining husband Chip (Greg Ellwand), and little external help beyond granddaughter Emma (Romane Denis). It was easy for swindler Rivera (Bruce Ramsay) to petition for guardianship of the senior couple and spirit them to a elder care center so he could pillage their savings... but he'd learn to his painful regret that he was dealing with one tough old lady having special resources of her own.
