Seelie Court unearths The Invisible City of Kartesh, the long-buried 1969 recordings by Portsmouth's Heaven, the earliest known work by a band later famed for their CBS album Brass Rock 1 (1971). Long before their shift toward jazz-inflected rock, Heaven were immersed in the crosscurrents of late-60s psychedelia, blending their beat and soul foundations with the heady atmospheres drifting in from the American West Coast.
