Product Notes
T. Lavitz has been nominated for 6 Grammy awards. He is the keyboardist of the Dixie Dregs. This DVD features a wide range of material including a private piano lesson with T Lavitz, a mini-concert, the rock and beyond video, and instructional DVD-rom, and a range of live clips featuring fellow Dixie Dregs band mates including Steve Morse, Rod Morgenstein, Jerry Goodman and Dave Larue. Sitting at an acoustic grand piano, t covers lots of ground including the major scale modes and help with improvisation. Recorded in a studio in Connecticut this performance features Rod Morgenstein on drums and Dave Livolsi on bass. A drop-down window allows you to select the format to import a midi file into your sequencer software, so that you can learn T's live keyboard parts, change the tempo or even the sound. Rock and beyond released in 1992, only had video on VHS, now is included and features Scott Henderson, Gary Willis and Greg Bissonette. Watch, listen and learn while Bob Doerschuk and t conduct an interview style private lesson. Lavitz uses a Hammond b-3, acoustic grand piano and synth. Recorded at Chick Corea's mad hatter studio in California this was available as a stand alone instructional package which also contained multiple ensemble performances.
