The dress shop owned by Madame Louise is taken over by bookmaker Trout, both to cover the debts owed him by Louise and as a means to hide away from gangster Felling whom he owes money. Trout tries to take the shop more up-market, to the indignation of staff members Penny and Mr. Pastry. However, the two manage to win enough money on the horses for Madame Louise.
