A young man's love for a woman becomes a life sentence. The harrowing, bizarre love affair between Edward Broder (Neil Patrick Harris) and Krista Herman (Anne Archer) begins when Edward, an 18-year old student, and Krista, a stunning married woman in her mid 30s, meet outside her husband's garment factory in 1910. The attraction is just as instantaneous as it is dangerous as her husband, Joe (Len Cariou), is a powerful businessman and she is a doting mother of a son the same age as Edward. Tensions rise that threaten to tear them apart as Joe discovers their forbidden love.
