Product Notes
Suzi Quatro is a legend and a feminist icon who broke barriers in what was a male-dominated genre in the 1970s. Over the course of her 50-year career, she has sold more than 50 million records worldwide, spanning 18 studio albums and 63 singles. She burst onto the rock scene in 1973 with the UK number-one hit Can the Can, followed by a string of successful singles including 48 Crash, Daytona Demon, Devil Gate Drive, The Wild One, and If You Can't Give Me Love, among many others.
Over the course of her career, she has inspired generations of female artists, including Joan Jett, Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads/Tom Tom Club), Chrissie Hynde (The Pretenders), and The Go-Go's, and continues to influence artists today such as KT Tunstall. She has also enjoyed a diverse acting and broadcasting career, from her iconic role as Leather Tuscadero in the 1970s sitcom Happy Days, to appearing on stage in Annie Get Your Gun, presenting television and radio programmes for the BBC, and being inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Suzi continues to record and tour to this day and will return to the stage to headline The London Palladium on 15 April 2026, alongside a full UK and international tour throughout 2026. She will also release a new album in April entitled "Freedom." This eight-disc clamshell box set spans her six studio albums and a live album from the years 1973 to 1979, and includes a DVD featuring selected promotional clips, Top of the Pops performances, and a concert recorded in Japan in 1975. The set is completed by a 56-page booklet containing exclusive personal recollections from both Suzi and guitarist Len Tuckey, as well as a biography written by The Guardian's Dave Simpson.Credits
