Hailed as "the Segovia of jazz" by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Ponder continues to quietly make his own brand of jazz in Pittsburgh & it's environs. Heard here for the first time in a trio setting, he shows a more aggressive side but still manages to serve up a tasty concoction consisting of jazz tinged with his trademark blues/funk overtones.
