Screen legends Carole Lombard, Fred MacMurray and John Barrymore star in the screwball comedy True Confession. Helen Bartlett (Lombard) would never bore anyone with the truth. A chronic liar married to a struggling lawyer (MacMurray), the aspiring writer claims she is innocent when the cops accuse her of murder. Unable to tell if she is really telling the truth, Helens husband pleads self-defense and manages to convince the jury. After her newfound notoriety makes them rich, a mysterious blackmailer (Barrymore) threatens to reveal the real killers name unless Helen pays for his silence.
