London housewife Ellen Sheppherd (Patricia Owens) was understandably horrified after she and her husband Jason (Terence Cooper) were followed home by American stevedore Carl Lutcher (Dan Duryea)... and Lutcher gunned down her spouse in front of her. The kicker came when the killer then demanded payment from her-and the twists and turns to come propel this tidy little British suspenser.
