Product Notes
Juice was an obscure soul outfit hailing from Newark, NJ that was active in the early 1970s. In 1973, they recorded a Stan Vincent-produced 45 for the small Ebony Sounds label. The A-side was a stunning cover version of the Burt Bacharach-Hal David classic "Walk On By" - first made famous by Dionne Warwick in 1964, that sadly went under the radar. On the B-side was "Juice," an uptempo original soul stomper penned by Sealy/Cobham that also should have garnered notice. Both tracks have been lovingly restored and remastered for the digital domain.
