Condemned to live a desperate life after murdering a yakuza member and serving time in prison, Nami (Meiko Kaji) works as a hostess in a club owned by her uncle. Soon, however, she's trading in her pool cue for a sword when mobsters threaten to take over the business. The wild, sanguinary Japanese thriller "Wandering Ginza Butterfly" (1971) co-stars Tsunehiko Watase, Tatsuo Umemiya. Then, the blood-spilling Nami (Kaji) is back in the thrilling sequel "She-Cat Gambler" (1972), traveling to Tokyo to work as a hostess at a swank club while prowling the underworld searching for her father's murderer. She gets help with her quest from local businessman Ryuji (Sonny Chiba), who just happens to have some skills with a sword. Shingo Yamashiro co-stars. 172 min. Total. Widescreen; Soundtrack: Japanese; Subtitles: English; audio commentary; featurettes; theatrical trailers. In Japanese with English subtitles.
