2010 solo release from the Lawrence Arms' Chris McCaughan AKA Sundowner.. We Chase the Waves, the follow-up record to Four One Five Two released in 2007, is a 10 song collection and McCaughan's most impressive body of work to date. It showcases not only what we've already come to expect from him but much more; it is both cohesive and diverse, revealing an evolution in his songwriting and sound. McCaughan penned the album and Neil Hennessy of the Lawrence Arms and Smoking Popes engineered and played the bass. We Chase the Waves was recorded in Chicago and produced by McCaughan and Hennessy over the course of eight months.
