Originally from Osaka, Japan, Yoshihiro Arita spent seven years in Boston during the 1980's, where he absorbed diverse musical influences while making a name for himself as an instrumental virtuoso. On this studio-recorded CD, Hiro moves from traditional Bluegrass to Swing and Jazz and from banjo to guitar with ease and dexterity, with support from an impressive cast of backup musicians from Boston's rich Bluegrass and Jazz scene.
