With the son she raised alone headed to university, coastal town restaurateur Pearl Nolan (Kerry Godliman) had time on her hands-and she chose to fill it by running a private detective agency out of the kitchen. The odd investigations she tackles in her picturesque community, and the attendant head-butting with late-of-London DCI Mike McGuire (Howard Charles), fuel this effort based on the Julie Wassmer novels.
