Alternately jarring and chaotic, pared back, thundering, then pulsating and gloriously mellifluous, the album confidently displays it's influences. Hot Chip remain one of the most unique of modern/electronic rock bands - they are experimental yet accessible due to their ability to attach a catchy melody to their more esoteric musical ideas.
