Product Reviews
The import collection Fascinatin' Rhythm features 18 examples of Fred Astaire's singing art, so gloriously on display in his films of the '30s and '40s. Offered some of the best material of the century (by Irving Berlin and George and Ira Gershwin), Astaire proved as nimble and sophisticated a vocalist as he was a dancer on titles such as "Cheek to Cheek," "Nice Work if You Can Get It," and the sublime "Night and Day." Other than quality of sound and extras, which aren't up to par, this compilation focuses in on the best performances of Astaire's career. ~ John Bush, Rovi
Product Notes
Astaire's unpretentious elegance convinced ordinary people to accept his remarkable dancing as a kind of alternative reality. Fabulous. 2003.
