Product Reviews
This two-fer from the Edsel label collects American folk icon Harry Chapin's diverse, 1977 double-LP Dance Band on the Titanic and 1978's intimate Living Room Suite. Between the two, listeners get fan favorites like "We Grew up a Little Bit," "Mismatch," "Jenny," and "Poor Damn Fool," but casual fans looking for radio hits like "Taxi" and "Cats in the Cradle" would be better off picking 2002's Essentials. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
Product Notes
Digitally remastered two CD set containing a pair of albums from the late singer/songwriter. This package pairs Chapin's long unavailable eighth album Dance Band On The Titanic (originally a two LP set, released in 1977) and ninth Living Room Suite, originally released in 1978. Chapin released only one more studio album before losing his life in a tragic car crash in 1981. The booklet contains all the lengthy lyrics and a note by Alan Robinson. Edsel. 2012.
