Product Notes
Digitally remastered two CD edition containing a pair of albums from the Scottish vocalist and entertainer. The two albums in this package from 1980 and 1981 represent the significant part of a two-year collaboration between one of the most talented vocalists and one of the most visionary record producers that the United Kingdom has ever produced. Barbara Dickson's Epic recordings with genius songwriter producer Alan Tarney are part of a benchmark series of recordings that Tarney produced in a 10 year period for the likes of Cliff Richard, Leo Sayer, Squeeze and A-Ha. Although Barbara had already had several hits, it was 'January February' that provided her real breakthrough in January 1980. The booklet includes lengthy annotation by Tony Rounce as well as all the lyrics, and the five bonus tracks include her hit collaboration Mike Batt, 'Caravan Song', as well as non-album single b-sides. Edsel. 2012.
