Danny, who is now 15 years old, started playing guitar at the age of 9 1/2. He soon became a student of the great slack key master and teacher Ozzie Kotani. He introduced Danny to a broad range of kiho'alu stylings, including that of his own teacher, the legendary Sonny Chillingworth.
