I'm originally from Magnolia, Arkansas. Somewhere along the line, I started writing songs. I'm not exactly sure why. Maybe it had something to do with growing up in the early eighties. Some fun facts about me: My first job after dropping out of school was singing backup vocals for a Japanese bluegrass fiddler. The night before moving to New York I drove a 16-foot Ryder moving truck into the front lobby of a New Jersey hotel. My focus and interest in music has always been the sound. Growing up, I listened to: Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Dan Fogelberg, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Monkees, Jimi Hendrix. I love the hook, the musical idea and contemplating questions through song, questions like, Where did we come from? Where are we going? and Why do ninjas always pile out of vans? Right now, I'm on this island of a million dreams and I'm just trying to write good music. Go Hogs.
