2008 debut album by the absolute Manga legend 'NAOKI URASAWA'!!

Naoki Urasawa is a manga artist with many fans around the world for his many popular works including 'YAWARA!', '20th Century Boys', 'MONSTER', and the ongoing manga series 'Asadora!'.

He is also a musician with a deep knowledge of music and had released two albums in the past.

'1/2 Century Man' is the memorable debut album by musician Naoki Urasawa, originally produced and released in 2008, and consists of 11 songs with a folk-rock flavor.

The album features such splendid guests as singer-songwriter Hitoshi Komuro, known as the founder of Japanese folk music; guitarist Ryomei Shirai of the Moonriders, who has always been ahead of the times since their formation in 1975; and keyboardist Hiroyuki Namba, who has supported Japanese city pop and progressive rock music.

'1/2 Century Man' is reminiscent of the manga world he creates, yet is highly accomplished as a music album.

The content is colored by genre-bending sounds ranging from folk and pop/rock to blues, influenced by Bob Dylan and the Beatles, and highlights Naoki Urasawa's talent not as a manga artist who has sold 150 million copies worldwide, but as a music lover and a musician in his own right.
